The VOX Night Train NT15C1 is a new 15-watt all-valve combo, part of the second generation Night Train series by VOX. The VOX NT15C1 features two channels; a Bright channel, providing the classic chiming sound that VOX amps are renowned for, and a new Girth channel, giving a more modern, high-gain tone. The Bright channel is equipped with a Thick switch, enabling a further gain stage for a more crunchy clean sound. Thereʼs a shared three-band EQ, with controls for Bass, Middle and Treble. The Bright channel has a single control for Gain, as well as the Thick switch, while the Girth channel is furnished with both Gain and Volume controls. In the Master section, there are universal controls for Master Volume and Reverb. Thereʼs also a Dark switch for activating a boost in the bass frequencies. The second generation Night Train now has an effects loop built-in, for connecting up external effects units, as well as an output with speaker emulation, designed to allow direct recording straight from the Night Train itself. The NT15C1 is fitted with a 12" Celestion G12M Greenback speaker, perfect for driving the 12AX7 and EL84 tubes in the pre and power amp stages. The 2266C 50-watt 2X12 combo is an all-valve single channel amplifier with a choice of 2 "dynamic ranges" selectable by a footswitch. The Low range equates to the performance you would come to expect from a stock vintage Marshall amplifier in terms of tone and available gain. The High range adds an extra preamp valve into the signal path, facilitating those classic hard rock tones of the '70s.
