The Wharfedale Diamond 11.CS Centre Speaker, with the design elements that have not been previously seen in Wharfedale. At the beginning of the design, the engineers at Wharfedale went back to basics in order to create a loudspeaker system that would revolutionise this sector of the hi-fi market once again. For many music lovers, it brings a high end performance.

The 11.CS

This large centre channel speaker is within the Diamond 11 Series. It utilises the same technological advancements and design ethics the rest of the range bring, with it enhancing and portray dialogue elements of films, games and TV shows to stunning level accuracy. The CS performs the best when matches with one of the larger 11 series stand mounts or floor stands that would be ideal for home cinema and theatre environments.
Advanced Driver System

With the new drive units across the range, it is designed and built in house to deliver exceptional performance at this price level. With bass and midrange drivers, they incorporate massive magnet designs, with special ribbed baskets and advanced suspension to complement their woven Kevlar Cones.

Meet the Family.

The range brings the Diamond 11 Series together, bringing the three stand mounting speakers of the 11.0, 11.1 and 11.2. The Forstanding Speakers of the 11.3, 11.4 and 11.5 and the two centre speakers of the 11.CC and 11.CS.

High Frequency Performance

With the evolved tweeter design, the oversized ceramic magnet system is once again used with a copper cap for flux control. The Pole piece is vented through to a specially shaped rear chamber in order to provide a low resonant frequency and ensure excellent linearity throughout the operating system. The textile dome will contribute to a lucid midrange performance in addition to precise high frequency detailing.

Pioneering Cabinet Construction

Pioneering the cabinet has been part of Wharfedale’s design ethos since the early days of founder Gilbert Briggs experimenting with different materials. With the tradition of bringing different qualities of wood at different densities, this is to minimise the features of the cabinet sound which improves the overall musical performance.
The curved cabinet walls are designed as such to provide a shape that is not boxy, reducing the resonances more than 25dB below the driver outputs. With the design been that shape, it allows it to have absorbent qualities across the bandwidth, this result lets the listener hear the drive unit output unsullied by any unwanted colourations caused by the panel vibration.
