Yamaha realized more than 40 years ago that simply building systems around speaker units bought from other manufacturers would not do, initiating a long and arduous but fruitful quest for ideal speaker performance based on original technology. Along the way innovative Yamaha speaker technology has resulted in a number of breakthrough products that established new performance standards in a number of critical fields.
Yamaha's new Installation Series Speakers address a number of important issues that give them unprecedented performance and handling characteristics for live sound applications, including permanent installations. In particular, phase characteristics have been kept smooth and consistent throughout the entire series, so you can mix and match speakers to suit any system and venue without ending up with hot and dead spots due to phase interference. And of course sonic quality is superb throughout the entire reproduction range so the full impact of the source material reaches the audience undiluted.

The QRx153/75 is a biamped three-way full-range loudspeaker system capable of filling performance spaces with beautifully balanced audio and high acoustic output capability.
The QRx153 is designed to be bi-amplified at 500 Hz utilizing a DX38 digital controller, or a P1202 power amplifier with M153 control module. All QRx models use 13 ply plywood, Futura coating, and steel grilles for wear and weather resistance. The QRx153 is trapezoidal with 15° side angles. "L” track rigging is installed on the enclosure top and bottom. Small arrays can be flown for live work, or the system can be suspended horizontally or vertically for fixed installations.
Thanks to its combination of the DL15ST woofer and large enclosure volume; the horn-loaded 8-inch midrange driver and powerful 3-inch compression driver, the EV QRx153/75 has extended response for high-level, high fidelity applications without the need of a subwoofer. The horn-loaded midrange driver provides excellent pattern control in this critical response area. Both MF and HF horns are aimed downward 10° to provide optimal aiming when the speaker is elevated above the audience. This also helps control sound to provide greater intelligibility.

The Zx5 is a 15-inch, 2-way cabinet with the most elegant high-impact composite enclosure, featuring the newest generation of EV components: the all-new DXV3150, 500W, 15-inch woofer and the all-new 2-inch neodymium ND2 compression driver. The Zx5 is rated for 600 watts long-term power handling and is able of producing high SPLs whilst providing a very smooth frequency response. With two available coverage patterns (60-degrees x 60-degrees or 90-degrees x 50-degrees), two adjustable monitor angles (45- or 55-degrees) and ten built-in rigging and suspension points allowing for a variety of mounting accessories, the Zx5 fits a variety of applications: installations of individual speakers or clusters in entertainment, cultural or religious venues, as well as on stages with bands, musicians and P.A. rental companies. The SX18 is a switchable 3 way active, 2 way passive, arrayable loudspeaker. Designed to be used as the main enclosure for small to mid-sized venues or as a supplemental cabinet for large scale sound reinforcement, this enclosure provides high sound pressure levels in a small, lightweight package. Adamson?s Proprietary Kevlar drivers and internal crossovers are employed throughout the SX18 enclosure and its integral fly hardware makes installation of the product fast and effective. Moving the SX18 is easy and efficient with the supplied dolly board. A flexible, high powered enclosure, the SX18 is suited for a wide variety of applications.

The Electro-Voice TX1152 Tour-X is a high power, high sensitivity, 15" 2-way PA loudspeaker system to use when high-quality sound reinforcement is required in a lightweight package.
The TX1152 PA speaker uses a DH3, high output 1.25" titanium compression driver, coupled to a Constant Directivity 60 degree x 40 degree horn. This combination results in a smooth response to 20 kHz and excellent pattern control in medium throw applications.
The SMX2151 15" woofer has an FEA optimized magnet structure and a shorting ring for ultra low distortion and maximum intelligibility at high SPL levels. The crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes with equalization for very smooth response in vocal range, extended HF, and a protection circuit for long-term reliability.
The TX1152 has a variety of features that make it equally suited for portable or fixed installation applications. The trapezoidal enclosure is constructed out of a combination of plywood and MDF, and coated with EVCoat for maximum strength while still remaining lightweight. The unique grille design is very strong, dent resistant, and features a rotatable logo. Four way handles allow for gripping in a variety of positions, a pole mount allows for placement on a subwoofer or a tripod. Six 3/8" threaded points allow a single TX1152 to be suspended in a various positions. The recessed input panel with dual NL4 connectors panel keeps the connectors hidden, while allowing the TX1152 to be used with the TX1181 subwoofer for extended sub bass on a single amplifier channel, with no additional processing needed. |
The passive dB500 has many of the same features as the dB500a, including the same rugged enclosure, and advanced drivers. A natural sounding fixed crossover is built-in, and the back panel features 1/4" and Speakon connectors.
The dB500 speaker cabinet features an array of mounting options. Designed with floor monitoring in mind, they are also easily stacked or permanently installed. A 1 3/8" pole receptacle is built in, and 10 reinforced fly points are available.
