Επιπλέον περιλαμβάνει Synth Vocoder, το οποίο δεν είναι άλλο από το χαρακτηριστικό και δημοφιλές εφέ φωνής που ακούμε σε πληθώρα ηχογραφήσεων και live ερμηνείες πασίγνωστων καλλιτεχνών.
Εμπλουτισμός και ανανέωση ήχων
Το Tyros 5 επιτρέπει την συνεχή ανανέωση της βιβλιοθήκης ήχων που ενσωματώνει. Αυτό μπορεί να γίνει με εύκολο τρόπο χρησιμοποιώντας την online υπηρεσία της Yamaha όπου περιλαμβάνονται ήχοι, μουσικές συνοδείες, μουσικά κομμάτια και οτιδήποτε μπορεί ένας μουσικός να βρεί χρήσιμο. Έτσι μπορείτε ανά τακτά χρονικά διαστήματα να ανανεώνετε την προεγκατεστημένη μουσική βιβλιοθήκη και να βρίσκετε τον ήχο ή την μουσική συνοδεία που ταιριάζει με την ερμηνεία σας ή κάποια μουσική σας σύνθεση. Για να χρησιμοποιήσετε αυτό το προηγμένο χαρακτηριστικό θα πρέπει να προμηθευτείτε το Flash Memory Expansion Module.
Επιπλέον το Tyros 5 είναι φυσικά εφοδιασμένο με εφαρμογές όπως:

Αναλογικό μονοφωνικό / διφωνικό synthesizer με κλαβιέ "SlimKey" 37 πλήκτρων, αναβίωση του ιστορικού ARP Odyssey. Με τη βοήθεια του συν-ιδρυτή της ARP David Friend και σε συνεργασία με τους τεχνικούς της ΚORG έχει επιτευχθεί πλήρης αναπαραγωγή του αρχικού κυκλώματος με στόχο να παραμείνουν αναλλοίωτα τα μοναδικά ηχητικά χαρακτηριστικά του Odyssey. Διαθέτει διπλούς ταλαντωτές (VCO) με δυνατότητα δημιουργίας κυματομορφών Sawtooth, Square, Pulse (Dunamic Pulse) και περιλαμβάνει 3 τύπους φίλτρων VCF που προέρχονται από τις τρείς εκδόσεις Odyssey revisions 1, 2 και 3 οι οποίες είχαν παρουσιαστεί την δεκαετία του '70 προσφέροντας μεγαλύτερο φάσμα ηχητικών επίλογών καθώς και γεννήτρια θορύβου (white & pink noise). Επιπρόσθετα διαθέτει VCA (voltage control amplifier) προσφέροντας ακόμα πιο πλούσιο αναλογικό ήχο, MIDI IN καθώς και USB-MIDI. Συνοδεύεται από ημί-σκληρη θήκη.
