The TD 206 and TD 209 turntables are the younger siblings of the revolutionary, multiple-award-winning TD 309. However, they don’t have to live in the shadow of their older brother. Both models are built using only high-quality materials and parts. And both share a number of technical features with the TD 309, ensuring that their replay quality is up there with the best.

The new TP 90 tonearm is based on the tried-and-tested TP 92 and uses the same ultra-low-friction, high-performance bearing and the innovative zero-stiction anti-bias system. The arm tube is made from rolled aluminium that is damped using RMR technology (reduced-modal-resonance), and the stainless-steel counterweight at the end of the arm tube is double-decoupled. Tonearm height, azimuth and overhang are useradjustable.

Το πρώτο πικάπ Debut, εισήχθη στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1990, ήταν μια επανάσταση για τη hi-fi βιομηχανία. Για πρώτη φορά μετά την άφιξη του Compact Disc και την υποτιθέμενη διάλυση των δίσκων βινυλίου, ένα ανάλογο προϊόν επανεμφανίστηκε στη "μαζική αγορά" κάτι που όλοι οι λάτρεις της μουσικής θα μπορούσαν να αντέξουν οικονομικά.

Η νέα Carbon Debut έχει σχεδιαστεί για να θέσει νέα πρότυπα στην κατηγορία αυτή για την επόμενη δεκαετία - τέλεια χρονομετρημένη ως ανάλογη σήμερα είναι και πάλι μια σεβαστή πηγή, ενώ η ζήτηση για το καλό πικάπ αυξάνεται και πάλι! Η πλέον προφανής βελτίωση είναι η συμπερίληψη ενός CarbonTube βραχίονα στο πικάπ, γεγονός που αυξάνει την ακαμψία και μειώνει την ανεπιθύμητη αντήχηση.

Το υλικό που συνήθως χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως σε high-end βραχίονες, αλλά για λόγους κόστους - δεν χρησιμοποιήθηκε ποτέ σε προϊόντα σε χαμηλότερα επίπεδα τιμών. Μαζί με άλλες βελτιώσεις όπως την αύξηση του μεγέθους και του βάρους του πλατώ , έρχονται να συνειδητοποιήσουν ακόμη ομαλότερη περιστροφή με νέο σχεδιασμό του suspension μηχανισμού, με αποτέλεσμα η συνολική ποιότητα του ήχου να βελτιώνεται σημαντικά.
