The Golden Age Project D2 is a versatile large-diaphragm dynamic microphone that is useful for stage, studio, and broadcast applications.

For live performance, its high-output dynamic capsule provides a big, powerful sound, and its cardioid polar pattern gives it a focused pickup that helps minimize feedback. In the studio, the D2 excels as an all-purpose mic for such sources as vocals, kick drum, electric bass, percussion, and more. For broadcast, the D1’s tone-in conjunction with the proximity effect you get from its cardioid pattern-gives you that “larger-than-life” sound for voice-overs and other spoken-word applications.

The mic is equipped with three separate filters, each with its own on/off switch, which make it possible to tailor the D2’s frequency response for specific applications. Two of the three are bass roll-off filters that help you shape the low end. The first cuts 3 dB at 120 Hz and 5 dB at 50 Hz. The second cuts 3 dB at 210 Hz and 10 dB at 100 Hz. The third filter affects the presence range, cutting by a maximum of 4 dB at 5 kHz. The D2 features an integrated stand adapter.

  • High-output dynamic cartridge for a big and powerful sound
  • A clear, distinct and full-bodied sound with a presence peak for life-like vocals
  • Cardioid polar pattern helps reduce onstage feedback
  • Three switchable filters for tailoring the sound
  • Rugged metal body

The UNlDYNE? III Model 545SD is a dual-impedance, unidrectional, dynamic microphone. Shipped connected for low-impedance operation, it features a silent magnetic reed on/off switch.

The 545SD is a favorite for instrument pickup and recording, and can be used on lecterns for public address systems such as those used in political conventions and legislatures, convention halls, hotels, public auditoriums, stadiums, schools, and churches.

  • Exceptionally uniform cardioid pattern minimizes feedback in PA applications
  • Selectable dual-impedance operation
  • Silent magnetic reed on/off switch with lock-on option
  • Cardioid dynamic
  • Frequency response: 50 to 15,000 Hz.
The Shure SM58S Vocal Microphone features a cardioid dynamic vocal design well suited for professional vocal use in live performances, sound reinforcement, and studio recording. A built-in spherical filter minimizes wind and breath "pop" noise, while the cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source while minimizing unwanted background noise. The microphone offers durable construction, a high-quality internal shockmount system, and a steel mesh grille for withstanding rough handling. The SM58S is designed to perform consistently both outdoors and indoors and when used for singing or speech applications. The microphone features an integrated on/off switch and includes a microphone clip and a zippered pouch.
  • Pneumatic shockmount system cuts down handling noise
  • Effective, built-in spherical wind and pop filter
  • Supplied with break-resistant microphone clip that rotates 180 degrees
  • High quality, rugged, and reliable
  • Cardioid dynamic
  • Frequency response: 50 Hz to 15 kHz

In the tradition of the SM58?, the Beta 58A dynamic microphone has become a top choice among vocalists and touring sound professionals.

The Shure Beta 58A is a high-output supercardioid dynamic vocal microphone designed for professional sound reinforcement and project studio recording. It maintains a true supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range. This insures high gain-before-feedback, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and minimum off-axis tone coloration. The Beta 58A has a shaped frequency response that is ideal for close-up vocals. The superb performance of this microphone is not affected by rough handling because of its rugged construction, proven shock mount system, and hardened steel mesh grille. Typical applications for the Beta 58A include lead vocals, backup vocals and speech.

  • Smooth, extended frequency response for outstanding sound for professional live vocal use
  • Consistent supercardioid pattern provides the best gain-before-feedback among dynamic microphones
  • Pneumatic shock mount reduces handling noise
  • Frequency response: 50 to 16,000 Hz
  • Frequency response tailored for vocals, with brightened midrange and bass rolloff to control proximity effect
  • Uniform supercardioid pattern for high gain before feedback and superior rejection of off–axis sound
  • Neodymium magnet for high signal–to–noise output
  • Hardened steel mesh grille that resists wear and abuse
  • Advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibration
  • Minimally effected by varying load impedance
  • Legendary Shure quality and reliability

The Beta 87 microphone has consistently been a top choice of performers and audio technicians around the world due to its superb accuracy and detail, and rich vocal production. This long-standing favorite now features a new design and has been renamed the Beta 87A TM. In response to user requests, Shure has redesigned this microphone by just slightly thickening the handle for a more comfortable feel when hand-held. In addition, the Beta 87A now includes the A25D break-resistant swivel adapter. The Shure Model Beta 87A is a premium quality supercardioid hand-held electret condenser vocal microphone with exceptionally smooth frequency response and high sound pressure level (SPL) capability. Used for professional sound reinforcement, broadcasting, and studio recording applications, the Beta 87A combines superb performance with the ruggedness needed for touring and field production. The Beta 87A features a controlled low-frequency roll-off that compensates for proximity effect and prevents the "boomy" sound often associated with close pick-up. The characteristic Shure presence rise brightens the upper midrange. The tight supercardioid pattern, with null points at approximately 125 degrees, provides maximum isolation from other vocalists or instruments while offering minimal off-axis coloration. The Beta 87A operates on phantom power.
  • Smooth, tailored frequency response provides detail, accuracy, and warmth for vocals
  • Extremely accurate supercardioid pattern at all frequencies provides the highest gain-before-feedback
  • Three-stage pop filter minimizes breath pop and noise
  • Break-resistant stand adapter
  • Frequency response: 50 to 20,000 Hz
