  • Tough aluminum die cast body for superb durability
A new strobe tuner with extreme precision and advanced functionality for the pro guitarist and bassist The pitchblack+ is a high-end, pro-quality pedal tuner boasting ultra-high tuning accuracy within a range of +/-0.1 cents. Housed in a sleek black aluminum die cast body, this pedal tuner packs a versatile range of tuning modes such as chromatic, standard (guitar/bass), open D, open E, open G, open A, and DADGAD, and also lets you create up to five custom tuning programs of your own with any temperament you specify. This is ideal for accommodating special tunings such as ethnic instruments and stretched tuning. The pitchblack+ also supports tuning for seven-string guitars and six-string basses. In addition, you can also use the flat tuning mode to tune your instrument as many as seven semitones below standard pitch. With a broad tuning range of E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz) and calibration that's adjustable in a range of 436--445 Hz, you'll be able to tune with an unprecedented degree of accuracy. The pitchblack+ also offers a new level of high-precision tuning demanded by professional guitar and bass players for the recording studio or in live performance. Large surface-illuminated LED display ensures easy tuning The Korg pitchblack+ features a large 13-segment LED meter. In conjunction with the tuning guides located below the meter that indicate whether your instrument is sharp or flat, the smooth-moving LEDs provide highly visible confirmation for accurate tuning at any viewing angle. The note name, tuning mode, and calibration are shown by large, highly-readable displays in green and red, and the tuner on/off status is shown by a red LED, ensuring that you'll see everything you need even if you're on a dimly-lit stage. You can choose between two types of display modes: Single mode and Double mode. In Single mode, you can choose between Meter mode, Full Strobe mode, Half Strobe mode, or Mirror mode. In Double mode, you can choose from two newly developed modes; "Focus mode 1" and "Focus mode 2" which offer even greater precision with excellent visibility. Dual input jacks allow two instruments to be connected. True Bypass ensures that the input signal is unaffected. As a professional pedal tuner, the Korg pitchblack+ provides A and B input jacks to which you can connect two different guitars or basses, and individually specify a separate calibration, tuning mode, flat tuning, and display mode for each guitar/bass (input). If only a single instrument is connected, you can specify two different tuning settings and switch between them by pressing the "INPUT SELECT" foot switch. This feature supports situations such as when you're playing more than one guitar/bass in a live situation, or for sophisticated musical needs such as using different tunings with a single guitar for multiple songs. The sound is muted when tuning is active, and when the pedal tuner is off, the True Bypass feature ensures that the input signal from your instrument is not colored in any way whatsoever. With functionality such as this, the pitchblack+ can provide high-precision tuning capability while being integrated into your guitar or bass pedalboard and amp setup. Fits into your pedalboard, and DC output powers other pedals The pitchblack+ works great with your current pedalboard system. It provides a DC OUT jack that can supply power to other effect pedals when the optional AC adaptor is used. By connecting the included DC cable, you can supply up to 200 mA of power to multiple effect pedals that require a 9V supply, simplifying the power connections in your effect board. Tuning used to be a necessary evil. The last barrier before you could get truly rocking. But now, tuning is ready to get blasted into the 21st century with PolyTuneTM, the stomp-box sized tuning miracle from TC Electronic!PolyTuneTM is the world's first polyphonic tuner, and a game-changing total tuning turnaround that will have future guitarists wondering how we ever got by without it.

The magic lies in a never before seen approach to tuning aimed at speed, accuracy and ease of use. With PolyTuneTM, you simply strum all strings on your guitar or bass at once, and it will immediately tell you which strings need tuning! This cutting-edge tuning technology revolutionizes the way you tune and accomplishes what has been deemed 'impossible' until now: tuning all strings simultaneously! It really is as simple as strum - tune - rock, and this quantum leap forward allows you to get in tune fast, and back to doing what you love: playing.

Providing an instant overview of the pitch of all your strings, PolyTuneTM is an invaluable tool in live-settings, where it is essential to be in tune quickly and ready to play. Crowds don't want to wait around, they want to rock, and, let's face it, so do you. Besides live use, this stomp box will deliver like no other in any situation where you want to get tuning out of the way and focus on play.

  • Dedicated tuner for bluegrass instruments such as banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and reso guitar.
  • Sharp/flat tuning allows you to tune with a capo attached.
  • Meter mode lets you tune according to the input pitch.
  • Sound Out mode lets you tune audibly to a reference tone.
  • Output jack allows the BA-40 to be connected directly to your amp.
  • A convenient built-in stand allows it to be used in an upright position.
  • Auto Power Off function preserves battery life.

    Specialized tuning
With its lively up-tempo sounds that feature various stringed instruments, bluegrass music is enjoyed by people all over the world. Korg has now created a dedicated tuner for bluegrass instruments ---
The BA-40 allows you to tune bluegrass instruments including- banjo, fiddle, mandolin, resophonic guitar-in addition to standard guitar and bass. Perfect fifths are supported for fiddle tuning. The LCD meter-type display provides better than +/-1 cent accuracy, and features excellent visibility on stage or in the studio to ensure that you can tune easily and accurately.

    Accurate tuning
With a detection range of E1@bbbbb (30.868 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz), the BA-40 covers the entire range of instruments used in bluegrass music, and also allows you to adjust the pitch up or down in semitone (half note) steps so that you can use sharp/flat tunings relative to the standard tunings of these instruments. You can even tune your guitar with a capo still attached. Markings on the meter allow you to use a tuning reference in a range of 430 Hz to 450 Hz.

*Even if the pitch is within range, detection may not be possible for instruments that produce large numbers of overtones, or for instruments that have very fast decay's.

    Sound Out mode
The BA-40's Sound Out mode uses the internal speaker to play a reference tone of the correct pitch for each string of the instrument you're tuning. You'll be able to tune more accurately by using both eye and ear as well as train your sense of pitch by repeatedly listening to the reference tone.

    Bypass function
The BA-40 provides an output jack that can be connected directly to your amp/speaker system. This allows you to leave your instrument connected to the tuner while you perform so you can easily check tuning at any time. By using the optional CM-100L contact microphone you can tune accurately even in noisy environments.

    Auto Power Off function
The Auto Power Off function conserves battery life by automatically turning the power off when the unit is not in use for ten minutes.
