| The Rega Fono Mini A2D is a high quality phono pre-amplifier for use with any moving magnet cartridge. The addition of USB interface allows you to easily transfer vinyl to your PC. The Fono Mini A2D is designed to amplify the signal from a moving magnet cartridge to a suitable level for all line level inputs of an audio amplifier. The new Fono Mini A2D benefits from an extruded aluminium case and very user friendly front and back panels that make this phono pre-amplifier a very easy product to use.
The Fono Mini A2D amplifier offers exceptional performance and incredible value for money and promises to be a valuable addition to any hi-fi set up.
To transfer vinyl to your PC, you will need to install a digital audio editor. Such software is widely available as a free download (such as Audacity), from the internet. This is a simple interface which allows monitoring of volume and balance whilst transferring your audio to your PC hard drive.
Audio editing software includes a level meter which indicates the output level achieved when playing a piece of vinyl. You should adjust the output as necessary via the ‘Level’ control located on the front panel. Always take special note of record levels to ensure optimum recording quality.
This is a cost effective version of the Fono MM and based on the phono amplifier as used in the Brio-R amplifier.

The LD Systems PPA 2 is a very compact analogue phono preamplifier, which equalises the extremely low output signal of conventional turntables to RIAA standards. It allows you to connect to devices without any phono input, such as mixers, PA power amplifiers or sound cards. The phono inputs are designed as RCA jacks, just like the line outputs; the PPA 2 also has a screw terminal for the ground conductor of the turntable and a 6.3 mm stereo jack for connecting a headset. The THD factor of the preamplifier is below 0.05% and the channel separation is -75 dB. The LD Systems PPA 2 uses a 12 V AC adapter; a bright LED indicates the power supply on the top of the sturdy metal chassis.

Power Supplies & Noise Reduction
The Ear pushes the Brio-R power amplifier circuit concept to a new level with the use of a low noise, fully regulated, supply. Noise has also been kept to a minimum by the use of an external mains transformer. The Ear exceeds the voltage requirements of IEC 268-15. This along with low output impedance makes it suitable for studio use as well as a hi-fi headphone amplifier. The Ear operates in Class A at normal listening levels.

Utilising the design ideals of the ‘cascaded emitter follower output stage’ with a pair of complementary Darlington output transistors, along with polyester film and Nichicon FG capacitors in critical positions, ensures it is our most advanced performing headphone amplifier to date.
Custom Case
Housed in a compact custom case, the Ear is designed to match the current range of Rega electronics with a matching, high gloss, front facia.The new Ear Headphone amplifier benefits from an all new extruded aluminium case and new styling giving it more of a family feel to match its illustrious big brothers. The Ear simply connects to the tape output of an amplifier via phono leads. The headphones are plugged into the front panel and there is a link socket in case you need your tape output sockets for other use.
