This elegantly designed bi-directional (figure 8) velocity ribbon microphone is intended for use in modern, state-of-the-art studios as well as private home studios. It offers the unique, pleasing sonic character that is similar to those classic ribbon mics of yesteryear.

The special dual-ribbon design offers a better sensitivity rating than most single ribbon mics on the market. You will also find that it does NOT exhibit the very dark, muted character of some ribbon mics…On the contrary, you will find it to be full-range with a very, natural detailed sound.

The “in-phase” signal is achieved when the microphone is addressed from the front side of the mic. (Where the AVANTONE logo is shown)

Features

•    Unique, elegant “retro” body design
•    Dual, Low-Mass Ribbon element which enables a much better sensitivity rating than most single ribbon designs
•    Fast accurate transient response, ultra-high 148 dB SPL capability, and overall stunning realism
•    Figure-8 audio directionality (pickup) pattern via front and rear, with extended sweet spots (as compared to Large Diaphragm condenser mics & single ribbon designs)
•    Low residual noise
•    No power supply required
•    No internal active electronics to overload or produce distortion
•    Manufactured using the finest materials yielding a very solid feel, superb structural integrity and rugged reliability

Applications

Excels with studio solo vocals, group vocals and simultaneous vocal duets. Also recommended for piano, electric guitar cabs and acoustic guitar, orchestral, woodwind & brass instruments as well as hand-percussion instruments.

Behringer C-2 2 Matched Studio Condenser Microphones 2 Matched Studio Condenser Microphones
  • 2 matched condenser microphones for stereo studio recording and live applications
  • Ideal as main and support microphones for studio and live applications
  • Cardioid pickup pattern for effective feedback elimination
  • Low-mass diaphragm for ultra-wide frequency response and ultimate sound reproduction
  • Switchable low-frequency roll-off and input attenuation
  • Ultra low-noise transformerless FET input eliminates low-frequency distortion
Excellent Source Isolation Our C-2 mics also feature a low-frequency rolloff switch to eliminate infrasonics (mic handling noise, sound created by creaky stages), as well as a switchable -10 dB input pad to accommodate hot signals, such as a really loud vocalist or overzealous cellist. The cardioid pickup pattern provides unparalleled sound source separation and feedback rejection. C-2 mics contain ultra low-noise transformerless FET input circuitry that can handle extreme dynamics with a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB. So even if the featured performer at your next recording session or live show happens to be a revved-up jet engine, this workhorse mic will not distort! Sound That Astounds Every stitch of these mics is designed to deliver beautiful sound. Beginning with the gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector, you get the highest signal integrity. Once connected to your system, youʼll notice these twin pro-caliber microphones have a 4 dB boost in the 1 kHz - 8 kHz range. For those of you new to condenser mics, this basically means youʼll get a slightly brighter sound that will give the perfect shape to cymbals and overhead miking. Acoustic pianos and choirs also benefit greatly from this type of frequency response. Excellent Source Isolation The cardioid pickup pattern provides unparalleled sound source separation and feedback rejection. C-2 mics contain ultra low-noise transformerless FET input circuitry that can handle extreme dynamics with a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB. So even if the featured performer at your next recording session or live show happens to be a revved-up jet engine, this workhorse mic will not distort!
