The DeepMind 12 from Behringer is a true analog 12-voice polyphonic synthesizer well suited for professional musicians, synthesizer enthusiasts, or anyone looking to conjure up virtually any sound imaginable with finesse and ease. With two oscillators and two LFOs per voice, three ADSR envelope generators, four FX engines, an 8-channel modulation matrix, and a 32-step control sequencer, the DeepMind 12 offers complete control over your soundscape. Plus, the instrument features comprehensive remote control via iOS/Windows/Mac OS and selected Android apps over USB, MIDI, or via the built-in Wi-Fi.

Oscillator 1 generates sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with pulse-width modulation, while oscillator 2 generates square/pulse waveforms with a unique tone modulation. With 24 oscillators at your disposal, a vast range of options becomes available, including the following oscillator modes: Unison 12, 6, 4, 3, 2, Mono, Mono-2, Mono-4, Mono-6, Poly, Poly-6, and Poly-8. Additionally, the instrument features sync, oscillator drift, and parameter drift, which help create the much-sought-after warmth and movement found in vintage analog synthesizers, but with improved stability and reliability.

Each LFO has a range that extends into audio rates and features adjustable slew rate, modulation delay, key sync, assignable clock sync (internal or external MIDI), envelope auto-triggering, and delay and fade-in. There are seven waveforms to choose from, including Sine, Triangle, Square, Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Sample and Hold, and Sample and Glide.

There are 3 four-stage envelope generators (ADSR) per voice, and each is equipped with continuously variable curves for highly flexible results. Envelope trigger modes include: Legato, Mono, and Retrigger, which can be triggered by key, individual LFOs, or the control sequencer, and looped well into audio rates.

The four simultaneous FX engines include over 33 professional algorithms from TC Electronic, Midas, and Klark Teknik. Each effect is custom-designed and physically modeled after some of the more sought-after processors. All effects run inside the low-latency environment of the DeepMind 12, ensuring high performance and flexible routing.

The eight-channel modulation matrix includes 19 modulation sources and 130 destinations, which provide a multitude of modulation options. Modulate the reverb tail or compressor with the modulation wheel, or drive a distortion effect with an LFO or via aftertouch. The “press & hold” shortcuts make selection of those sources and destinations quick and easy.

The control sequencer features an adjustable slew rate and MIDI sync, and it allows for a 32-step pattern of values, which can vary from -127 to 127. Other parameters that can be controlled include note value, tie and length, slew, and swing. These can all be mapped as modulation sources to any of the available destinations.

Bass Station II is an analogue mono-synth based on the classic original Bass Station but re-worked for the 21st century. It has two filters, two oscillators plus a third sub-oscillator, patch save and a fully analogue effects section. Add a step sequencer, arpeggiator, full sized keys and a powerful modulation section and you have the makings of a synth that is built for bass, but capable of so much more.

More Vintage Sounds than Ever
Lush analog modeled synthesizer sounds that are characteristic of the MicroKorg have been freshly added to the MicroKorg XL+. In addition, for band use, the MicroKorg XL+ comes equipped with the piano sound from Korg's classic stage piano, the SGproX (famous for its ability to stand out in your band's mix), as well as its hard-edged grand-type electric piano. This compact package also includes sounds from the M1 and the VOX organ, vintage tape-type string and flute machines, as well as other gorgeous sounds from keyboard history. Of course, these sounds can be played full-range like the originals that inspired them, either by using the onboard octave switch, or by connecting your choice of any MIDI-capable full-sized keyboard of choice. Each of these 128 programs are genuinely inspiring sounds, giving the MicroKorg XL+ plenty of variety to serve as your main keyboard or as a secondary keyboard in your rig. In addition, Korg has provided a total of 640 free sounds, downloadable through the free Editor software!

Program genre selector
The MicroKorg XL featured a sound selector that lets you choose your sound using two large dials: "music genre" and "instrument category." The new MicroKorg XL+ has been updated with a new set "music genres" to fit today's evolving music scene. Now you can select a program that matches your song more intuitively than ever. For even more convenience, you can also leave one of the dials fixed and use the other dial to make program changes during a song (music genre fixed), or use the dial to select vocoder variations (instrument category fixed).

New Yet Nostalgic - "New Vintage" Design
The MicroKorg XL+ projects a style that's reminiscent of vintage electric pianos, featuring a futuristic and simultaneously retro design with a stylish black panel and knobs. High-quality parts such as metal levers, dials that move with an audible click, and knobs with a sturdy operating feel are some of the ways that the MicroKorg XL+ outclasses other instruments in its range and enhances your experience editing synthesizer sounds.
