The DTI (Dual Transformer/Isolater) from ART is a high quality, totally passive audio interface that uses a pair of high performance transformers to totally separate input and output signal grounds, thereby isolating two systems and reducing hum and ground-loop noise.
The unit’s audio transformers have an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated balanced output. This gives the DTI a very clean and neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources. The transformers are wound for 1:1 unity gain and are designed to be used with impedances from 600 Ω to 100k Ω.
Versatility Useful for making a “clean” interface between a computer based audio workstation and a speaker system, isolation on long cable runs in a fixed installation, isolation of a signal source from any recording equipment, or in many cases, just a safer connection between two audio systems.
Connectivity Provides XLR, 1/4″ phone and RCA type phono connections on all inputs and outputs. This allows the unit to easily fit into virtually any audio system and be the clean patch point between all types of systems.
Construction A compact black anodized, all aluminum case and passive design allow the DTI to provide years of trouble free service in Live Sound, Permanent/Fixed Install, D.J. and virtually any PA application.
ART DTI specs
Frequency Response
10Hz-50kHz +/-.5dB@+4dBu
Total Harmonic Distortion
.01% Typical @ 1kHz, +18dBu,
Weight
0.47 kg

Behringer DI-400P High-Performance Passive Direct Injection Box
Introducing the Ultra-Compact DI-Boxes from BEHRINGER
There are times when you will want to connect certain sound sources straight to other audio gear, be it for a live performance or a studio session. A direct connection between audio equipment can be a challenge though: technical problems crop up that?ll corrupt the signal.
The DI400P lets you connect instruments or amplifier outputs. It converts any unbalanced signal to a balanced signal and eliminates unwanted noise. With its high-performance transformer, it also allows you to use very long cables without the loss of high frequencies.
This is the sort of medicine that?ll cure headaches in your studio or on stage.
At dbx, when we do something, we do it right. So when we decided to create our new direct injection boxes, we didnʼt settle for the same old tired approach to direct box design. With our dbx name on the line, how could we? One look at our new dB10 Passive and dB12 Active direct boxes will tell you that these are clearly different. With their bullet-proof construction, and extraordinary audio performance to rival their looks, finally thereʼs a direct box worthy of the dbx name.
Utilizing custom dbx mu-metal-shielded audio transformers, high-quality Neutrik® connectors, and low-noise circuitry preserves the sonic integrity and true characteristics of the signal source. Both boxes include a pad switch that accomodates instrument, line and even speaker level signals. Take even more control of your sound by utilizing the polarity invert switch to set the phase relationship between the direct and mic'd sound.
As a professional, you donʼt have time for interference, so weʼve included a ground lift switch to solve potential hum and buzz problems due to ground loops. And between the combined shielding of the cast metal chassis and the custom-wound transformer, you can be doubly assured of a clean signal free from interference. All of this sits atop a solid, stable footprint, that will keep the box from being dragged around the stage, and the unique contoured underside allows secure stacking of multiple units.
So whether you need to control the level, placement in the mix, or overall characteristics of 4 independent signals or control the gain leveling on a couple of stereo pairs, the dbx dB10 dB12 is for you.
