Zoom iQ6 Overview
The iQ6 Stereo X/Y Microphone from Zoom turns your iOS device with Lightning connector into a field recorder for capturing the sounds of concerts, interviews, meetings, lectures and more, at up to 16-bit/48kHz resolution. The microphone uses the same two, high-quality, unidirectional condenser mics found in the popular H4n recorder, allowing your recordings to cover a wide area, while still capturing sound sources in the center with clarity and definition.
The X/Y microphones can be set at two different angles, 90 degrees for a tightly focused image, or 120 degrees for a more immersive wide-angle stereo. The input gain can be adjusted using the large, mic gain wheel on the front of the unit, while you monitor your levels using the 3-segment LED. The iQ6 also features a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, enabling direct monitoring during both recording and playback. The headphone output can also be used as a line out for making a backup recording if desired.
The iQ6 comes with a removable spacer that allows it to be used with most iPhone, iPad, and iPod cases. The mic is compatible with Zoom\'s free Handy Recorder app, which gives you the option to record as PCM or AAC files, and offers effects such as compression, EQ, and reverb. Additionally, it will work with Apple\'s Voice Memo app and GarageBand, as well as most apps that support input from an external microphone.
Zoom Handy Recorder App
Zoom\'s Handy Recorder app, available for free from the iTunes App Store, provides an assortment of tools for your iQ6 and iOS device. In addition to offering onscreen level metering, it enables you to set the iQ6 headphone volume, as well as adding an automatic recording function-handy for capturing the sound of meetings, speeches, and other situations. Choose linear PCM format for the highest quality sound or AAC format to conserve storage space, then apply compression, EQ and reverb effects to your recordings. Handy Recorder even allows you to email your files to friends and to upload them to SoundCloud for sharing with the world.

Stereo Rack Memory Recorder
The UR-2 is a 1 U rack size stereo audio recorder using SD card and USB storage device that is flexibly adapting to the wide variety of playback requirements.
The UR-2 is a new generation stereo memory recorder from Fostex that uses 2 SD cards (SDHC compatible) and USB storage device as the recording media. The recording/ playback file format is BWF (WAV). Its ample playback functions will adapt to the wide variety of playback requirements. It offers high quality recording of up to 24bit/96kHz (in BWF format). Employing FAT 32 disc format, it is easy to process the file transfer to a PC based DAW.
The analog input and output are balanced XLR/+4dBu and un-balanced RCA/-10dBV, the digital input and output complies to AES/EBU and S/P DIF digital signal. It is flexible to be used in the available audio system. The playback function includes Chain Play and Timer Play, it is suitable for live stage performance and sound installation. In addition to the external control via parallel remote with D-Sub 25pin and RS-232C serial remote, a USB keyboard and 10-key keyboard can trigger the instant playback start, which is very useful at a live event, theater and broadcast environments.
The Mic input located on the front panel offers 48V phantom power, it can be used not only for recording but also for speech to be mixed with playback source. Last but not least, its newly employed organic EL display gives an extremely clear visibility. This combined with DC power operation, it serves for outdoor use very well.

The Apogee X-VID-SYC-GEN Video Expansion Card is designed to fit in the X-Series card slot located in the rear panel of the Apogee Big Ben Master Digital Clock (sold separately). Allows all functions to be controlled from the Big Ben user interface and generates video and provides genlocking function. In genlocking mode the source video-signal will be re-clocked and regenerated, maintaining the same
field and colorburst phase information, but stripped of its line information and replaced by video-black. In slave mode the board will auto-detect the incoming video-standard and configure itself accordingly. The video input is of very high tolerance and will even lock to unstable sources like VCR's.
The Apogee X-VID-SYC-GEN Video Expansion Board has three modes of operation.
•Master mode: The user selects the video format on the frontpanel of the Big Ben. The Big Ben will slave to the generated video signal
•Attended Slave mode: The video board will be configured to autodetect and genlock to the incoming video. The Big Ben will slave to the incoming video signal
•Unattended Slave mode: The video board will be configured to autodetect and genlock to the incoming video. The Big Ben is not clocking to the Video board and therefore both will function independently
Features - Support for PAL, NTSC and 60 Hz B&W standards
- One composite video input and three composite video outputs
- Can operate as a master black-burst generator
- Can operate as genlocking slave device
