Brand New Genuine JBL 2262H or 2262HPL12″ Neodymium Speaker. 700 watts RMS, 1,400 watts continuous, 3″ voice coil, 8 ohm. The JBL 2262HPL Differential Drive woofer performs better than conventional 12" PA speakers because it is engineered better. Compared with traditional driver designs, JBL's patented Differential Drive makes use of a pair of inline voice coils in separate magnetic gaps instead of a single voice coil-gap combination. This permits a more effective use of available space, and expedites efficient removal of heat from the motor structure. Specifically, the voice coils are wound reversely and are immersed in magnetic fields of opposite polarity. This ensures reduced magnetic leakage flux and focuses more magnetic energy in the gaps where it is needed. The 2262HPL is used in JBL's SRX712, SRX722, and VRX932L speaker systems. Building on the platform of the Blue, the Gold is a higher-powered, Alnico-magnet speaker that recreates the unmistakable sonic signature of a ʽwell played-inʼ original. Over time, the high frequencies of a Blue soften and become less chalky as the cone becomes more flexible – a much sought after characteristic that the Gold exhibits straight out of the box.
