Clear, natural and accurate - for PA systems and venues of all sizes.
Audix's OM3 is used for a variety of live, studio and broadcast applications. This mic provides accurate sound reproduction, resistance to feedback and ability to handle very high SPLs without distortion.
The OM3 is made with a tight and uniformly controlled hypercardioid polar pattern that isolates the vocals from the rest of the instruments on stage.
A slight natural roll-off in the lower mid-bass frequencies allows the OM3 to reduce boominess and handling noise. This, in conjunction with an extremely articulate mid-range, makes this mic an excellent choice for PA systems of all sizes.

The AKG D7 is a reference handheld dynamic vocal microphone designed to capture vocals and instruments with condenser-like sound for artists and audio engineers in clubs, concert venues, and houses of worship. The laminated dual-layer Varimotion diaphragm exhibits a supercardioid polar pattern for excellent off-axis rejection of audio across the frequency spectrum. This allows high gain before feedback and reduced stage bleed through the mic. Handling noise is minimized by the mechano-pneumatic capsule suspension and an integrated 80 Hz high-pass filter.
Thanks to a 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and a maximum SPL of 147 dB, the D7 delivers detailed sound even on the loudest sources. A hum-compensating coil is incorporated to help reduce interference from electrical devices and to ensure that your captured sound comes through with minimal noise.
In addition, the heavy-duty die-cast chassis with a dent-resistant grille is built rugged to withstand the rigors of daily use. An XLR connector utilizing gold-plated pins ensures signal transfer with maximum conductivity. A padded zip case, SA 61 stand adapter, and a replacement inner windscreen are included.

- Tailored for Vocals & Speech
- Cardioid Polar Pattern
- Shock-Mounted Dynamic Cartridge
- 50 Hz to 15 kHz Frequency Response
The Shure 55SH Series II is a Unidyne cardioid dynamic microphone boasting a classic look and vocal-tailored sound for recording sessions, live stage applications, and on-camera use. The dynamic cartridge is shock-mounted to impede handling noise and vibrations transferred through your mic stand. The implementation of a cardioid polar pattern minimizes pickup of off-axis noise and ambience, yielding higher gain before feedback and attenuated stage bleed.
The mic delivers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 15 kHz with a gentle presence boost peaking at approximately 6.5 kHz. Its XLR 3-pin output ensures compatibility with most mixer inputs, microphone preamps, and portable PA systems. An on/off switch is provided for convenient muting of the mic between speeches or performances. The attached, self-tensioning, 5/8“-27 thread swivel mount can be tilted up to 45 degrees forward and 80 degrees backward. Chrome die-cast metal construction provides tour-worthy durability.
Classic Appearance
In addition to being a mic with solid audio characteristics for the studio and stage, the 55SH Series II makes a great prop microphone in video shoots, photos, and theater applications
Tailored Frequency Response
The 50 Hz to 15 kHz frequency response features a slight dip in the low-mid frequency range and a gentle rise from 1 to 10 kHz, making its sonic performance optimized for vocals, public address, and dialog
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing sound pickup at the off-axis sections of the capsule, ensuring high gain before feedback
Shock-Mounted Cartridge
The dynamic capsule is shock-mounted for added protection against shock- and structure-born noise
