The Audix SCX1/HC Microphone is a versatile condenser microphone system featuring interchangeable capsules designed for vocal, general instrument and ambiance capturing applications. The SCX1/HC is also widely used as an interior boompole microphone with outstanding results. The Audix SCX1/HC features a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, which provides exceptional off-axis rejection that provides a narrow pick up area at the direct sections of the capsule. Transformerless circuitry and surface mount technology provide a compact profile and quiet signal response with a low noise floor. The sensitivity and wide frequency response make the microphone ideal for both vocals, guitar, strings, drums and percussion, overhead cymbals and more. The SCX1 has a high SPL rating of 130dB, to allow the capsule to accurately pick up transient (peaking) signal without noise caused by distortion overload.

Hyper-Cardioid Polar Pattern The hyper-cardioid polar pattern provides maximum signal rejection at the off-axis sections of the microphone head. This provides a low noise floor and high gain-before-feedback response. Modular Capsule Design The SCX1/HC includes a hyper-cardioid capsule however an omnidirectional, omni-presence and cardioid capsules are available. Surface Mount Technology Surface mount technology provides a smaller, compact profile, making microphone placement and positioning quick and easy. Transformer-less Design The SCX1 provides transformerless output circuitry resulting in high signal to noise ratio and high signal output.

Cardioid Condenser with 10dB Attenuator and 3 Position Low-Cut Filter

One of the world's great studio microphones, the SM81 provides precise, detailed sound reproduction, is excellent for studio recording, and is rugged enough for live sound reinforcement.

  • A standard for acoustic instruments, including guitar and cymbals
  • Selectable, low-frequency response -- either flat, 6dB/octave roll-off, or 18 dB/octave roll-off
  • Built-in, switchable 10 dB attenuator for use in high SPL situations
  • Phantom power only
  • Windscreen included
  • Low noise and high output clipping
  • Cardioid condenser
  • Frequency response: 20 to 20,000 Hz
This new mic is a performance / price breakthrough. It has an acoustically identical version of the legendary CK1 capsule that is permanently mounted. This combination can handle high output transients as well as subtle harmonics. Also included are switchable 75 and 150Hz 12dB per octave rolloff, and switchable -10 & -20 dB input pad. It is a single pattern (cardioid), and has a frequency response of 20 to 20kHz with 135 dB SPL. Requires 12 to 48V phantom power. Kit comes with bag, windscreen and clip. For more than twenty years, the AKG C 451 with the CK 1 condenser capsule was a standard item on tour riders for sound companies and required by leading engineers for studio projects. When it was discontinued in 1993, there was still a big demand for this microphone. AKG now has an updated version of this classic microphone. The new C 451B provides the same frequency response as the legendary CK 1 with the same slight high-end rise that was the signature of the original. This characteristic makes the C 451B an ideal tool for capturing signals rich in transients such as acoustic guitars, snare drums, hi-hats and for overhead micing of drum kits. The C 451B?s response eliminates the need for heavy EQ on these instruments. The new C 451B has also benefited from newer electronic technology with machine soldering and surface-mount components that improve noise performance and make the microphone much more reliable than the original. Other special features include switchable 10 dB and 20 dB preattenuation pads and switchable low cut filters at 75 Hz or 150 Hz. Standard accessories included are an SA 40 stand adaptor, W 90 windscreen and a rugged zippered bag. Each C 451B also comes with an individual frequency response printout. Three-year warranty. Specification Polar pattern: cardioid Frequency range: 20?20,000 Hz Sensitivity: 9 mV/Pa (-41 dBV re 1 V/Pa) Max. Transformerless Power/Output Module ? The SE 300 B is used with all AKG Blue Line capsules and operates from 9 ? 52 V phantom power. The 3-position switch allows selection of linear response, -10 dB preattenuation and 12-dB-per-octave 75 Hz low-cut filter. A stand adapter is included.
