Marshall 1960BV 300W 4x12'' Guitar Speaker Cabinet

Nothing personifies the image of rock 'n' roll more completely than a wall of Marshall stacks. Though often imitated, nothing compares to the original. The 1960BV is the straight version that features 4 Marshall/Celestion Vintage speakers and is the perfect addition to your stage or recording rig! It's ideal for players who appreciate a lot of low end, without all the boomyness.

Marshall 1960BV at a Glance:

  • Incredibly flexible 4x12 straight cab
  • Low End That Never Gets Boomy
  • Slightly brighter sound than a straight cab
  • Sonically speaking, nothing compares to a Marshall amp
  • Rugged and ready for the road

The Ultimate in Flexibility
To ensure the ultimate in flexibility, the 1960A (angled) and the 1960B (straight), is switchable between Mono (4 or 16 Ohms) and Stereo (8 Ohms per side). The two Mono impedance options provide extra amp matching capability while the cabinets' stereo capability makes them ideal for rack systems which typically run in stereo.

Low End That Never Gets Boomy
This has a thicker, warmer sound than the 1960A with a fat, well-defined midrange and a rounded high end that sparkles nicely while not being overly bright. It also has a good low end "chunk" which never gets "boomy.“

Offers That Low-End Thump
B (Base) cabinets offer some sonic differences. A straight cab sounds more focused and has more low-end thump. The additional size gives the cabinet a lower resonant frequency for more low-end. All speakers facing the same direction gives a more focused sound. Many players prefer to use only the B cabs, even when they are on stage with a full stack. Zakk Wylde (Ozzy's guitarist) uses only the B cabs because of the tighter low end and because (believe it or not) he values his hearing and the sound from the B cab doesn't hit him directly in the head.

Sonically Superior
The only choice for serious musicians. Nothing compares to Marshall cabinets in terms of awesome tone and projection. Both visually and aurally, Marshall 4x12 cabs are indeed rock and roll history in a stack!

Ready For Your Gig - Wherever That Might Be!
Roadworthiness is a vital prerequisite in the world of relentless touring and as Marshall's 40 years of cabinet building attests, Marshall cabinets are definitely built to stand the test of time! Their highly skilled craftsmen construct these 4x12s from the finest materials available - 15mm birch plywood with precision 'finger locked' (comb) joints, tough cotton backed PVC covering, heavy duty hardware and the highest quality fittings.

Weighing in at around 80 lbs, the JCM1960BV is made of 15mm birch plywood (except for the back panel, which is medium density fiberboard) and built for tone, projection, and durability. The majority of cabinet construction is done by hand.

Marshall 1960BV Features:

  • 300W 4x12 straight 4/16 ohm, mono; 8 ohm stereo.
  • The extra warm sounding Marshall/Celestion "Vintage" speaker - rated at 70 watts each - (1960BV/BV)
  • Black grille cloth / white piping
  • Large white logo
  • Black elephant grain vinyl
Fitted with a pair of Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, the PPC212OBʼs design accentuates the top end frequencies whilst softening the bass response. The split rear panel means the delivery is less directional, creating an airy, spacious and three-dimensional sound. The added presence and chime makes the PPC212OB especially suited for cleaner styles, or for players who want a more vintage combo-type tone from their amp head. The PPC212OB features an 18mm birch plywood shell with our signature skid runners secured to the base to help acoustically couple the cabinet to the stage. The Marshall 1936V Guitar Speaker Cabinet features 2x12" Celestion G12 Vintage Speakers capable of handling up 140 Watts of power! The Marshall 1936V Guitar Speaker Cabinet offers mono or stereo options. The Marshall 1936V is perfect for use as an extension cabinet for Marshall combos and it's depth means it can also support a full-sized Marshall head.

Marshall MF-280A 280W Guitar Speaker Cabinet The MF280 (280W) and MF400 (400W) cabinets are specially engineered to reproduce the balanced mid range and huge bottom end that are a pre-requisite for extreme hard rock and nu-metal sounds, these cabinets feature: - Sonically optimised Celestion loudspeaker designs - Pro-gauge internal wiring - Increased internal volume - Metal logo and piping In keeping with all legendary Marshall cabinets the MF 4x12" cabinets are not only ready for the sonic demands of a high performance head like the MF350, but also the extreme physical abuse they may receive on the road. We recommend the MF280A (angled) and B (base) for full stack operation and the MF400A or B for half stack operation. Stack versus Half Stack: The MODE FOUR cabinets can be used either as a full stack (two cabinets) or half stack (one cabinet) configuration. The rig you choose is a matter of personal taste and as always when it comes to sound we recommend you try both to see which suits your style best. Below is a guide to the major attributes of each: Full Stack: Enhanced on stage spread. More 'cut through' due to accentuated treble and high mids. Iconic stage presence. Half Stack: More controllable spread of sound on stage (especially base type) Convenient and portable. Half Stack Options: Whether you choose an angled or base half stack configuration is a personal choice between the different tonal qualities of each set up. The MF400A (angled) is, in keeping with other angled 4x12" cabinets, tonally more aggressive than the base option. The angled cabinet is the usual choice for those who want a more prominent upper mid and treble response that really cuts through in a live situation. Alternatively, the MF400B (base) delivers a more even mid range with less spread of the aggressive treble response. Marshall 4x12" base cabinets are more often used by professionals as they have a more focused bottom end and a smoother mid range and treble response. They are often easier to deal with in terms of sound reinforcement and monitoring in a live situation
