Whether you're recording in the studio, taking direct output feeds off of an analog mixer, or using it live onstage, the MOTU Ultralite AVB gives you the flexibility and low latency you need. Like the rest of MOTU's popular AVB-equipped audio interfaces, the Ultralite AVB lets you send and receive analog and digital audio across a standard network. The internal mixer also includes all kinds of DSP processing, summing, and routing options too, and between its high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity and additional optical I/O, you can easily expand the capabilities of your MOTU Ultralite AVB.
-
Versatile I/O for the flexibility you need
-
Powerful built-in effects and routing
-
Imagine the possibilities with AVB expansion
The Ultralite AVB follows this legacy without fail, packing plenty of great-sounding inputs and outputs into a fantastically affordable mobile unit. This includes a 10-in/6-out analog I/O with two stellar microphone preamps, two HiZ guitar inputs, and a 117dB dynamic range that stands up to some of the most impressive gear on the market. On top of that, the Ultralite AVB offers you digital inputs via optical I/O and MIDI in and out for your keyboard or other MIDI controllers.
The onboard DSP mixer offers a number of advantages you'll find useful in a variety of settings, such as when you're connected via USB or using the Ultralite AVB in a standalone format. This digital mixer supports up to 48 inputs (via AVB expansion) and 12 stereo busses, allowing you to set up extremely complex routing schemes completely independent of your computer.
In fact, if you connect a wireless router to your Ultralite AVB, you can access all of its internal mixing functions via an app on your iOS device or any device connected to your WiFi network, turning this powerful audio interface into a fully capable standalone mixer.
Speaking of onboard processing and effects, whether you're in the studio or onstage with your Ultralite AVB, you'll find a ton of uses for its DSP EQ, compression, gate, and reverb including the built-in accurate model of the legendary LA-2A optical compressor which provides vintage, musical automatic gain control.

The 828mk3 is MOTU's most advanced FireWire audio interface. Once again it raises the bar with innovative new features, enhanced standard features that remain unique, superb sound and reliable performance.
The 828mk3 provides ten channels of pristine 192 kHz analog recording and playback, combined with sixteen channels of ADAT digital I/O and stereo S/PDIF. Expand your system by connecting additional MOTU FireWire audio interfaces or the 8pre mic input expander.
The 828mk3 is equally well-suited for studio and stage, with or without a computer. As an interface or standalone mixer, the 828mk3 provides 28 separate inputs and 30 separate outputs, including dedicated main outs on XLRs and two front panel headphone outs.
Connect all of your studio gear, including microphones, guitars, synths, keyboards, drum machines and even effects processors. Record, monitor, route and process all of these live inputs using the professional on-board CueMix FX digital mixer – with no latency and no processor strain on your computer. Apply hardware DSP-driven compression, EQ and reverb to every input and output, independent of your host computer. When recording from the mic/guitar inputs, the 828mk3ʼs signal overload protection gives you an extra 12 dB of headroom above zero with no digital clipping or harsh artifacts.
MOTU FireWire audio interfaces are fully compatible with FireWire 800-equipped Macs. All you need is a standard FireWire 400-to-800 cable. Just plug in and go. The FireWire bus operates at 400 Mb/sec, providing the same high speed, low latency and rock solid reliability that MOTU FireWire interfaces are known for.
After programming the on-board mixing in the studio, unplug the 828mk3 from the computer and take it on the road for operation as a stand-alone mixer with effects. All mixing and effects parameters are adjustable using the front panel backlit LCD.
The 828mk3 provides cross-platform compatibility with Mac and Windows and all of your favorite audio software and host-based effects via WDM/ASIO/Core Audio drivers. Or you can use the included AudioDesk workstation software for Mac, with 24-bit recording/editing and 32-bit mixing/processing/mastering.
