NT2-A - ?The Legend Continues? Multi Pattern 1? Condenser Microphone.
The new NT2-A carries on the tradition forged by the now legendary R?DE NT2.
A professional large capsule (1?) studio microphone incorporating three-position
pick-up patterns, pad and high pass filter switches conveniently located on the
mic body.
At the heart of the NT2-A is the Australian designed and manufactured HF1 dual
diaphragm capsule. The frequency and transient response of this new transducer
has been voiced to complement today?s modern recording techniques, and yet still
evoke the silky smooth character of the legendary microphones of the 50?s and 60?s.
These features provide the flexibility and superlative audio characteristics that make
the NT2-A one of the most versatile condenser mics available.
The NT2-A?s variable controls allow switching between Omni, Figure 8, and Cardioid
polar patterns. The three position high-pass filter provides a flat response or an 80Hz
and 40Hz high pass filter to be selected. Finally the microphones Pad can be switched
between 0 dB, -5dB and -10dB. The NT2-A comes in a soft pouch with an M2 stand mount.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Features:
The Australian designed and manufactured HF1 1? edge terminated, gold sputtered, dual
5 um diaphragm capsule. 3-position variable polar pattern: Omni, Cardioid & Figure 8; all
controlled on the mic. 3-position variable high-pass filter: Flat, 80 Hz or 40 Hz. 3-position
variable pad: 0 dB, -5 dB or -10 dB. Ultra low noise, transformerless SMT circuitry. Wide
dynamic range. High strength heat-treated steel mesh head. Durable satin nickel finish.
Internal capsule shock mounting. Supplied complete with soft pouch and clip. Designed
and manufactured in Sydney, Australia.
Operation power:
The NT2-A is designed to operate from phantom power to the P48 standard. The NT2-A will
operate between 44V and 52V applied with positive polarity to pin 2 and pin 3 of the output
XLR connector.
Operation output impedance:
The NT2-A will operate satisfactorily into a load impedance as low as 1 kΩ. If a load below this
is used, the output signal level will be reduced. The NT2-A output is balanced between pin 2 (hot)
and pin 3 (cold). Pin 1 is ground.
Acoustic principle: Externally polarized 25 mm (1?) dual diaphragm.
Directional pattern: Multi-pattern
Frequency range: 20 Hz ~ 20 000 Hz
Output impedance: 200 Ω
Signal noise ratio din iec 651:
87 dB (1 kHz rel 1 Pa; per IEC651, IEC268-15)
Equvalent noise: 7 dBA SPL (per IEC651, IEC268-15)
Maximum spl:
147 dB (@ 1% THD into 1 kΩ); 157 dB (@ 1% THD into 1 kΩ) - pad at maximum
Sensitivity: -36 dB re 1 Volt/Pascal; (16 mV @ 94 dB SPL) +/-2 dB
Dynamic range din iec 651: 140 dB (per IEC651, IEC268-15)
Power supply voltage: 48 Volts (P48)
Output connection:
3 pin XLR, balanced output between; pin 2(+) and pin 3(-); Pin 1 ground

The AVANTONE CK-6 is truly a gorgeous looking and sounding microphone. The design, character and performance can be compared directly to fine studio-standard FET mics…but at a fraction of their cost!
The rugged CK-6 microphone body and capsule assembly are precision machined of Brass. Aesthetically the compact body features an elegant Metallic Cabernet Wine-Red finish, accented with polished nickel trim and capsule assembly. Manufactured using the finest materials yielding a very solid feel, superb structural integrity and rugged reliability.
This Transformerless CLASS A FET Microphone w/ 32mm gold sputtered thin Mylar capsule is designed with circuitry that will yield pleasing professional results comparable to much more expensive designs. It also features -10 dB pad & 80 Hz LF roll off switches for varied recording situations.
The included Custom Retro Shockmount is superb in allowing a precise positioning of the mic while inhibiting the transfer of unwanted vibrations up into the mic. This isolation allows for superior professional results.
Applications
Studio vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, drum overheads, piano, etc…
Specifications
Type: True Transformerless Condenser
Polar Pattern: Cardioid
Frequency Response: 35-20,000 Hz +/- 3.5dB
Output Impedance: | AKG C214 – large 1” diaphragm microphone with cardioid polar pattern, frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz, 20dB pad, requires phantom power (12-52V), XLR connector. Includes clip, case and windshield. Dimensions: 160 x 55mm. Weight: 280g, optional microphone holder SA61
The C214 professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone has been designed as a cost-effective alternative to the high-end C414 family. Like the C414, the C214 offers a supreme one-inch capsule on an integrated suspension to reduce mechanical noise. A switchable 20dB attenuation pad allows recording of loud sources of up to 156dB SPL. A switchable bass-cut filter allows close-up recording with almost no proximity effect.
The C214 captures sound by combining one capsule of the legendary C414 dual-capsule system and the patented AKG Back-Plate Technology, resulting in an outstanding performance close to the famous C414 XLII.
Sonic character of the C414 XLII
for beautifully detailed recording of lead vocals and solo instruments
Outstanding dynamic range and ultralow noise
for close-up recording of high-output sources of up to 156dB SPL
Switchable 20dB attenuator and bass-cut filter
for close-up recording and reduction of proximity effect
Integrated suspension
to reduce mechanical noise and vibration from stage
