The HD 560S from Sennheiser are reference-grade stereo headphones designed to deliver a true audiophile experience with an open, natural sound. These headphones combine elements of several famous Sennheiser headphones to give you something new: a neutral sound for critical listening in a comfortable form factor.

The headphones make use of 120-ohm polymer blend drivers that offer a transparent sound between 6 Hz and 38 kHz. The drivers are angled to reproduce the typical equilateral triangle of a studio environment.

The HD 560S are as comfortable as they are transparent, with a lightweight design and velour earpads. The headphones come with a detachable 9.8′ cable that terminates in a 1/4″ plug suitable for use with most studio-grade gear. However, a 3.5mm adapter cable is also included for mobile devices.

Audiophile-Grade Sound

Today’s audiophiles monitor their music with measured purpose on a wide range of devices from headphone amplifiers, audio interfaces, computers, and more. The HD 560S delivers the linear performance required by analytical audio enthusiasts, allowing listeners to examine the details of their music.

Thoughtful Design

The HD 560S features an open-back design that provides natural propagation of sound waves. The E.A.R. (Ergonomic Acoustic Refinement) angled driver alignment recreates the optimal triangular listening position you would find in hi-fi loudspeaker setups and high-end recording studios. This combination creates a wide, articulate soundstage in any room, letting you hear the neutral version of your music unaffected by the artifacts of a confined space.

Polymer Transducers

The HD 560S provides transducers that are specifically tuned for accuracy, offering dependable A/B comparisons of components, mixes, and media formats. The entire frequency range is honest, complemented by smooth, deep bass extension that reveals what nearfield loudspeakers often struggle to reproduce, especially between the 20 and 50 Hz range. The 120-ohm transducers utilize a specialized polymer blend in the membrane for linear excursion and improved brilliance above 10 Hz. The drive magnets offer highly efficient power, while a sophisticated damping system manages ventilation. This combination yields deeper bass while mitigating the distortion that otherwise impacts clarity. Whether you’re grading a new hi-res master or revisiting a vintage audiophile preamp, the HD 560S offers a fatigue-free listen that you can depend on.

Premium Comfort

Although the HD 560S sound is rooted in the reference-level DNA of the beloved HD 660S, its comfort mechanics are based on the chassis of Sennheiser’s HD 599. The headphones deliver a barely-there feel. Even the velour earpads have been carefully considered to keep all contact points soft to the touch. The open, around-the-ear design offers benefits beyond natural sound–the ventilated cups remain cool without ever needing to touch the wearer’s ears.

Connection Possibilities

Because audiophiles frequent a variety of sources, Sennheiser developed the HD 560S to provide an exceptional experience regardless of the playback system. The detachable 9.8′ cable provides the freedom to access your gear, no matter how it may be oriented within your setup. The 1/4″ plug lets you connect to headphone amplifiers, audio interfaces, and most hi-fi sources, while a flexible 3.5mm adapter ensures you can extract the most out of your reference material on portable digital audio players and countless other audio devices.

The newly designed AKG legend, K 271 MK II combines the benefits of AKGʼs circumaural design for extreme comfort and a closed-back design for maximum isolation from ambient noise. Thanks to its XXL transducers, the K 271 MK II sounds clean, smooth and very rich. The K 271 MK II is the perfect choice for any application where sonic bleed could cause problems such as broadcast work. Another important feature of the K 271 MK II is the addition of a switch in the headband that mutes the audio just as soon as the headphones are taken off.
