This 86 cm high loudspeaker stand is ideal for studio monitors and home speakers and is fitted with a triangular foot with an edge length of 44.5 cm. The foam-padded steel tray provides 28 x 28 cm standing space, which is sufficient for all standard monitor speakers. The exceptionally sturdy design made with black powder-coated steel carries a maximum weight of 40 kg. The Fluid Audio DS5 desktop monitor stands are designed for use with all 4” and 5” 2-way studio monitors. They come with the ability to elevate your monitors to two heights: 2.5” and 5”. With the included rubber feet, the stands become an acoustic isolation system that can adjust to 3 angles: Flat, 3 and 6 degrees of tilt. Elevating your monitors closer to ear-level means you get better on-axis response. As the high frequencies coming from tweeters can be somewhat directional (or "beamy”), getting them up and closer to ear level means you hear a more full-frequency response. Made from MDF wood (the same material as your monitor enclosures) they are rugged and acoustically well damped. The stand "posts” are made with polypropylene, minimizing the "ringing” sound of ABS plastic. Both top and bottom of the stands are capped off with extremely absorbent, 40 durometer rubber feet. The result of the stand construction allows your monitors to "breathe” and to produce much purer tones and a less distorted midrange. Package Contents

The stands are biased to keep all energy in alignment with the listening position, providing greater clarity and focus. Perfect for optimizing the placement and performance of small studio monitors… An important aspect of the speaker stand design is the ability to adjust the height and tilt angle of the supported speaker enclosure to optimize its position relative to the listener and eliminate soundwave reflections off the supporting surface. In a typical Desktop Audio Workstation (DAW) configuration, the listener is positioned 3 to 4 feet from the monitors with ear level approximately 20″ above the work surface. Raising and tilting the monitors to the optimum position can be achieved in these circumstances using the IsoAcoustics stands. Patented IsoAcoustics Isolation Exciting the supporting surface The isolators manage the energy of the speaker to reduce vibrations resonating through the supporting surface to eliminate dissonant sounds in the listening area or joining rooms. Reducing internal reflections Internal reflections are vibrations reflecting back up the speaker cabinet which causes smear. Smear is a result of artifacts replicated in both channels which are perceived to be in the middle, causing the stereo image to collapse. The IsoAcoustics isolators reduce internal reflections to eliminate smear. The result is an improved stereo image of natural spatial sound.
