BUGERA EL34-4 Amplifier lamp 4 MATCHED | GROOVE TUBES GT 12AT7 PREAMP TUBE The Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 preamp tube is manufactured to the highest quality JAN spec. NOS, made in Russia for extremely long life. Used widely in most U.S.-made amps and, in particular, Fender amps. Fender amps with reverb use 2 - 12AT7s -- one for the reverb drive stage, and one as a phase inverter to drive the push/pull output stage. The makeup of the 12AT7 is very similar to the 12AX7 and it can be substituted for a 12AX7 in a pinch. Some players prefer the 12AT7 in the driver stage of a Marshall for a cleaner, brighter tone. (The driver or phase inverter is the 12AX7 located nearest the power tubes.) The 12AT7 is rarely used in a tone-generating stage, but rather in function stages, so the Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 is selected for durability. Country of origin: Russia |
Selected ECC83 for the big & warm clean sounds (great for HiFi too!) and mellow top-end when pushed to overdrive. Our recommendation if you want to emphasize punchy mids. Especially great when pushed into a fat overdrive.

For applications in particularly sensitive functions such as V1 or input stage with combo amps, V1 in high-gain amps, tube microphones and phono preamps, we recommend using the respective HIGHGRADE selection

| DescriptionNN095-Electro Harmonix 12AX7 / ECC83 Vacuum tube 12AX7ЕН, 12AX7SV is a miniature twin triode with equipotential cathodes, designed to amplify low frequency voltage in radio engineering devices. Top choice for gutiar / bass amp application with all the right ingredients. Excellent tonal bal-ance, harmonic content, low noise floor, and low microphonics. The tone is more vintage sounding, and also does very well in audiophile application. The 12AX7-EH tube has a nice balanced sound, a very low noise floor and excellent perfor-mance in terms of microphonics. The lack of microphonics is due in part to the return of a shorter plate structure and better materials.

In addition to the perfect symmetrical systems, the strong amplification characteristics of the TAD ECC81 / 12AT7-Cz support increased dynamics of the output stage when used as phase driver or phase inverter tube.
