| More sound to your amps and speakers
The secret to making speakers sound great lies with the crossover you use. With the dbx® 234xs Crossover you'll get great performance, ultra low-noise, rugged reliability and four decades of dbx knowledge and expertise in building the world's finest processors. The 234xs uses precision filters to separate the audio signal and direct the correct frequencies to your loudspeaker drivers. By directing only the specific frequency bands to each speaker driver the 234xs leaves your amplifiers free to use their full power on the usable signal eliminating distortion and giving your PA system a cleaner and better sound.
The dbx 234xs is a dual channel crossover with all the features you would expect from a professional product. It features Linkwitz-Riley 24dB per octave filters, independent output gain controls for level matching, output phase inversion, 40 Hz low cut filter, and optional mono summing of the low frequency (subwoofer) output. Everything in the design exudes great precision from the solid "click" controls to the high quality XLR inputs and outputs.

The Ruby '63 features dual-engine processing combined with UAD audio-modeling expertise for an extremely authentic emulation of the classic '60s British tube amp sound. Cabinet/mic emulations can be bypassed for simply adding overdrive or tonal flavor to your sounds. With treble booster, preamp boost, and speaker swaps, the Ruby '63 is equipped to produce album-ready tones with the flip of a switch.
Drawing from the custom mic and speaker pairings of UAD's award-winning OX Amp Top Box, the Ruby '63 provides immediate access to inspiring studio tones. Six unique modeled speaker/mic combos are available to either take on the go or spice up your DAW recording, providing a huge range of sounds.
The Ruby '63 features three different types of modeled boost circuits arranged as channels, each with their own distinct voice. The Brilliant channel, based on a '63 top-boost amplifier, adds extra tube for more gain and treble. The Normal channel, based on a '61 non-top-boost amplifier, features more headroom and lower overall gain than Brilliant and works well with other pedals. The Vibrato channel is based on a '63 top-boost amplifier and features its own unique sound and set of inputs. Vibrato can produce tremolo-type tones and attain even slower rates than the original amp.
The Ruby '63 features two classic boosts, right onboard. This includes the '60's Dallas Rangemaster germanium treble preamp booster (linked to the Brilliant channel), and the preamp section of a '70s Maestro EP-3 tape delay (linked to the Normal channel). Just flip the Boost switch to achieve searing guitar tones.
Want to just control all of the Ruby '63 features without having to bend over and adjust knobs? UAD has you covered with a handy Bluetooth pairing function that allows you to alter any available parameter directly from your favorite mobile device through the UAFX Mobile app. Customize features, explore presets, or even download new tones, models, and artist presets all with a few taps. You can even get deep and customize your footswitches for a wide array of functions.
With two footswitches, six knobs, and three flip switches, the Ruby '63 contains a bevy of control for those who want maximum sonic flexibility. Input gain, output gain, high-frequency cut, bass response, treble response, and boost amount all get dedicated rotary knobs, so any amp sound can be quickly dialed in. Speaker type, amp storage, and channel type all get three-position switches for extra flexibility. The dual footswitches default to on/off and preset switching, while further footswitch modes are available with the UAFX Control app.
The Ruby '63 provides users with an elegant and efficient I/O arrangement to enable plenty of options right out of the box. One mono input and one mono output are provided for basic use, while a secondary input and output are also provided for stereo linking. A multitude of connection combinations are possible, from sending stereo outs to an interface or stage PA, to sending separate outs to different amps and effects loops—even more options are unlocked when using multiple Ruby '63 pedals in tandem. The 4-Cable mode, compatible only with UAFX amp pedals, allows the addition of another switchable channel to any real guitar amplifier with an effects loop, allowing you to switch between your guitar amp's built-in preamp section and the sounds in your pedals.
Featuring the timeless design and rugged craftmanship that UA has become known for, the Ruby '63 pedal is built to last decades. Whether taken on the road or used in the studio, this pedal can be relied upon to deliver quality sound on demand.
| Built upon award-winning UAFX dual-engine processing and three legendary limiters plus an iconic tube preamp, the Max Preamp and Dual Compressor Pedal from Universal Audio provides the classic compression colors of the Teletronix LA-2A opto-compressor, the UA 1176 FET compressor, and the Dyna Comp as well as the all the grit and character of UA's classic 610 tube microphone preamp. With the powerful dual-FX engine found on all UAFX pedals, you can stack and mix compressors for a wider array of tones and textures, and each stack gets its own dedicated footswitch.
Six knobs give you control over attack, ratio (a pedal exclusive parameter), release, preamp gain, compression level, and output volume, and three switches let you select between compressor models for each stack and the stack you are editing. Stereo 1/4" I/O permits either classic mono or immersive stereo processing, including support for the classic 4-cable method. And with the UAFX Control app, you can tweak EQ settings, unlock serial or parallel operation, and add a sidechain bass filter, all over wireless Bluetooth.Universal Audio Max Preamp and Dual Compressor Pedal |
