Phantom III - 48V Phantom Power Supply Overview
Different condenser microphones specify different amounts of required phantom power. As a rule these ratings can range from 48 volts all the way down to 9 volts. Fortunately, there is some flexibility in terms of matching phantom voltage to your mic. A rough rule of thumb would be ?more is better.? For example, a 24-volt condenser mic will run perfectly on 48 volts. In fact, mics rated at as little as 9 volts can often operate on 48 volts, but you should check with the manufacturer first. Conversely, a mic will generally perform best driven by not less than its rated voltage so, for a 48V mic, you would obtain best results with 48 volts of phantom power. The Phantom III is a great choice for the above needs.

The Radial SB-48 is a high performance phantom power generator that employs a non-radiating charge pump circuit to create a stable, ripple-free 48 volt supply for active direct boxes and condenser microphones. The stereo design features XLR inputs and outputs with a choice of 48V and 12V operation. The SB-48 is powered by a single 15VDC 400 milliamp supply that is included. The connector may be locked into place using a retention clamp. As with all Radial products, the SB-48 is manufactured in Canada from solid steel and powder coated for years of great looks! |
Palmer Pan 48 is a unit for the external power supply of phantom powered appliances. Due to the high current level of a maximum of 20mA, the application is not just limited to condenser microphones. PAN 48 is excellent for supplying phantom powered active DI-boxes. The box has two channels. Specifications: 2 channels, each channel: Microphone input: XLR/f Pin 2 & 3 +48VDC, Pin 1 Ground Output: XLR/m no DC voltage Ground lift switch Phantom power stabilized ±5%. Low ripple, low noise Max. current 20mA totally. LED control. Metal casing 110x110x45mm |
The K6P powering module is at the heart of Sennheiser's professional modular
condenser microphone system. It is similar to the K6 powering module but is
powered by 12 - 48 V phantom power only, for use where battery power is not
required (e.g. permanent installations). The K6P can be combined with various
microphone heads to produce microphones with a variety of pick-up patterns.
Matt black, anodised, scratch-resistant finish.
