The new ETX Powered Loudspeakers family builds upon the industry-leading innovation and 85-year heritage of Electro-Voice audio engineering to offer the most advanced professional portable powered loudspeakers available today.
A versatile high-end choice for live entertainment venues, rental companies, pro musicians and DJs, and installed sound, the ETX Powered Loudspeakers family features three two-way models (10-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch, all with a precision HF titanium compression driver), a three-way model (15-inch with a 6.5-inch MF driver and a precision HF titanium compression driver) and two subs (15-inch and 18-inch drivers).
Positioned above the ZLX and Live X families respectively, ETX Powered Loudspeakers complete a trio of recent EV portable loudspeaker offerings-each of which was designed to bring best-in-class performance to its price point.
Inside each low-profile, tour-grade wood enclosure are a host of unique new features that set ETX Powered Loudspeakers apart, combining intelligent technology and innovative industrial design for spectacular results across all applications. DBTechnologies' new subwoofers H Series offer remarkable specifications and user-friendliness. With 1500W (2000W Peak Power) and a high-performance 18' woofer with 8' coil, the Sub 18H is especially suited for small to mid-sized events, where high performance needs to be packaged into compact size. Thanks to their unique configuration, termed Hybrid Horn-Loading, the boxes can be tuned to the lowest frequencies to improve system efficiency and convey a deep, enveloping sound. Unlike conventional horn loaded systems, 15H and 18H subs ensure excellent efficiency even at close listening distance, which makes them suited for use even in small venues. | Add bass
One of the best ways to fill the room with bass with your PA system is by adding a subwoofer. Mackie's Thump 118S powered subwoofer was designed to boost the low-frequency power and output of a PA system using their Thump Series powered speakers, but it'll work with any system that needs more bass. This sub features a built-in amplifier that sends up to 1400 watts to the 18" low-frequency driver in an efficient bandpass enclosure, creating plenty of bass energy for just about any musical application or venue. Internal protection circuits keep the sub rockin' and safely under control, even when the party gets loud and raucous.
Integrates well
Selectable High Pass Modes with a variable crossover setting optimizes the sub for different system configurations and musical genres. A 2-channel input mixer plus 2 full-range and 2 high-pass outputs offer plenty of wiring and integration options. Convenient, top corner handles help ease the pain when carrying this Built-Like-A-Tank™ sub to and from a gig.
