Introducing the DV-77 Mick Thomson Signature Speaker. Designed by Mike Smith of OMEGA and Mick Thomson of Slipknot, this loudspeaker represents the future of Mick’s signature tone. Assembled in the USA by Eminence, the DV-77 leverages a new custom-designed basket, new voice coil design, new spider design, and a carefully chosen UK made Kurt Mueller cone to deliver exceptional tone and reliability.
From the beginning, the focus of this speaker was balance, response, and a very musical tone. Delivering tight punchy lows, thick harmonically complex mid-range & detailed highs without excess fizz. Not a clone or a copy, this speaker was designed in the studio and proven on the stage. With over a year of real-world testing by Mick, the DV-77 Mick Thomson Signature loudspeaker is the perfect addition to your rig.

12” neodymium woofer offers 300Wrms (AES) continuous power handling and 98dB sensitivity
3” high temperature Inside/Outside voice coil efficiently dissipates heat, preventing sensitivity loss through thermal compression
M-roll surround provides progressive excursion control, yielding a smooth response even at extremes of frequency range
Extremely lightweight design combined with a highly efficient magnet assembly results in exceptional power-to-weight ratio
Intelligent heat management in both chassis and magnet assembly design further minimizes distortion

This classic guitar speaker actually started life as a radio speaker that was modified specifically for use in electric guitar amplifiers. In its original incarnation as the G12 T530 it appeared in several colour variations, but it was the Blue version, fitted as standard into Vox AC30 amps, that secured its place in guitar tone history.
The Blue found favour with notable guitarists like Brian May, due to its glorious dampened attack, warm lows, mellow upper-mids and brilliant belllike top-end. When coupled with a suitable amplifier it evokes rich definition and develops beautiful musical compression when pushed. According to tone enthusiasts worldwide, the Blue is the benchmark for guitar speaker perfection.
