The ZonePRO 640m offers fixed I/O, pre-configured architecture, configurable insert processing and optional duplication of audio channels to another ZonePRO device via a link bus.
The 640m features a total of six inputs and four outputs. Inputs include four balanced mic/line switchable terminal block inputs and two mono-summed pairs of unbalanced RCA inputs. Hardware-controlled microphone gain allows adjustment of microphone gain per channel.
The 640m device has a pre-configured architecture with input processing, a central matrix and output processing. Two input insert positions and one output insert position allow channel-specific insert processing to be configured. AutoWarmth®, a psychoacoustic function that maintains full frequency bandwidth even when the signal level has dropped, is permanently available on each output zone.
A link bus allows duplication of the first six audio channels to another ZonePRO device in applications where additional output zones are required.
The front panel of the 640m features comprehensive signal metering, an informative LCD display and user-specified front panel control.
Additional system control is offered in the form of optional Zone Controllers. This collection of hardware wall-controllers represents a series of simple, elegant user interfaces for functions such as volume, source and preset control.
All ZonePRO devices can be controlled by third party control systems via RS-232 or Ethernet as applicable (see table for further information).
ZonePRO Designer—the configuration, control and monitoring software for the ZonePRO family of devices—offers control of the ZonePRO 640m via Ethernet or RS-232. The Configuration Wizard within ZonePRO Designer guides users through the step-by-step configuration process of the 640m.

| The KT-AES50 network module provides a dual port AES50 digital audio interface, compatible with both the Klark Teknik DN9650 and DN9652 Network Bridges and the Midas NEUTRON-NB Dual Network Bridge Expansion Module for the industry-leading NEUTRON High Performance Audio System Engine.
Featuring up to 48 bidirectional channels at both 48 kHz or 96 kHz sample rates, with dual port redundancy in 48 kHz systems, KT-AES50 enables the interconnection of two AES50 networks operating at 96 kHz and 48 kHz respectively, as well as providing expanded AES50 channel counts in either 48 kHz or 96 Hz AES50 networks.
KT-AES50 is designed for simplicity of use, and can operates from the incoming AES50 clock or an external clock via host unit. Panel-mounted LED indicators show the connection status for both AES50 ports.
KT-AES50 is electrically and mechanically compatible with the industry standard Cirrus CM-1 format.
SuperMAC (AES50-Compliant) digital audio networking technology from Klark Teknik simultaneously provides high channel counts, ultra low and deterministic latencies, sample-synchronous and phase-aligned networked clock distribution, error detection and correction, network redundancy, and ease of deployment and use – to meet the demanding requirements of live concert touring.
KT-AES50 is compatible with all Midas digital consoles, audio system engines, digital I/O units, as well as with any other AES50-equipped devices. |
Digital audio transfer of up to 32 IN/32 OUT channels
CobraNet (TM) is fully compliant with Ethernet, and is a highly practical solution for distributing audio and control data over a common Ethernet infrastructure. The NHB32-C features four separate 8-channel AES/EBU input/output terminals and uses CobraNet (TM) technology to transfer high-quality 20-/24-bit 48kHz digital audio over four-bundle* paths - in real time.
* One bundle contains 8 channels of 20-bit audio, or 7 channels of 24-bit audio.
MIDI, head amp remote(AD824) and amplifier control
The NHB32-C is designed to handle not only digital audio, but also control data as well. With this function, the unit can be used for one of three types of control*: MIDI, head amp remote (for the AD824 A/D converter) or for monitoring/control of PC-N power amplifiers connected to the ACU16-C.
* Only one control type can be used at a time.
Up to sixty-four channels of audio - with one Ethernet cable
CobraNet handles up to eight bundles of digital audio in multicast (one-to-all) mode on a single CAT-5/100Base-TX cable.Up to eight NHB32-C units can be networked, with each unit transferring four bundles and receiving four bundles, and 64 channels of digital audio can be picked up from any ACU16-C or NHB32-C connected on the network via CobraNet. A networked system with ACU16-C and NHB32-C is able to handle up to 64 channels of digital audio with CobraNet technology. Moreover, multicast and unicast (one-to-one) mode can be used in combination to optimize bandwidth, more than 64 channels of digital audio data can be transferred on a network system.
Line duplication for good reliable system
Primary and Secondary CobraNet (TM) ports are built into the system, providing an easy-to-use duplicate network for reliable operation. If one system fails, the other takes over seamlessly, ensuring absolutely stable performance.

| Although it can look quite simple, a small multi-zone installation is not always an easy or small job for the installer. He needs to install and connect many electronic units (sources, amplifiers, wall panels...) in order to provide the perfect audio solution for his customer. With Apartʼs AUDIOSYSTEM8.8 the installer now can propose a complete audio system to his customers that covers many small or medium sized applications... with just one unit! |
