When tasting wine, it is important that a comparison is as neutral as possible. The same applies to selecting loudspeakers. To accurately judge sound characteristics, it is essential to listen to different loudspeakers under the same conditions.
Comfortable loudspeaker routing with variable level control for an uncompromising comparison on the sales floor, along with multi-monitor and multi-room applications, are just some of the ways the GrandAudition MK2 can be effectively put to use.
GrandAudition MK2 lets you connect 16 individual loudspeakers or eight loudspeaker pairs and up to eight subwoofers - all with balanced line-level XLR connectors and housed in two 19\" rack units. Depending on how you want to use GrandAudition MK2, the outputs can be selected either individually or as stereo pairs via an intuitive browser-based app or from the unit itself.
Thereby you can choose to just switch between loudspeakers or freely configure any output combination you want, making it not only the ideal solution for a loudspeaker presentation, but also an excellent choice as a central-control-unit for trade fairs, in laboratories and for multi-room sound distribution.
Source material is supplied from a mixer, CD player or digital audio workstation through two balanced XLR inputs - with volume control, of course. But that\'s not all. GrandAudition MK2 is also equipped with a built-in USB media player on which reference titles can be accessed in WAV, AIF, FLAC, MP3 and OGG data formats.
Highlight of GrandAudition MK2
The browser-based remote can be controlled on a tablet or laptop, offering maximum operating convenience. Ethernet and WLAN-capable devices can be used for complete configuration and control of the unit, including channel naming, media player, and other practical functions.
The ability to individually adjust the level for each output and its quick and noiseless switching mechanism, makes it possible to accurately compare loudspeakers and help you reliably guide your customers to select the right loudspeaker. Routing applications that use different levels for each output can also be set up, and a fully analogue signal path with the highest quality is also of course guaranteed with Palmer.
If necessary, you can cascade units to triple the impressive number of 16 channels plus 8 outputs and thus manage even the largest routing scenarios for monitors, such as in presentation areas. You can also use the subwoofer outputs to connect additional loudspeakers without experiencing any technical drawbacks.
In addition to powered loudspeakers, passive loudspeakers can be incorporated with power amps. Signals can also be distributed over multiple line outputs for other applications, for example, by connecting as many as 24 headphone amplifiers to one source signal - an invaluable aid in conference technology and at trade fairs. And to top it all off, GrandAudition MK2 performs remarkably well in measuring laboratories.
In short, GrandAudition MK2, with its clearly arranged features and ease of use, offers comfortable loudspeaker routing with professional sound neutrality.

| Compressos Expander Gate Kimiter DBX 166XS Stereo
Overview Bring a more professional sound to your mix
Adding a dbx® 166xs Compressor/Limiter/Gate to your live sound rig or studio gives you more dynamic control to help create a more polished, professional sound. Having compression in your audio chain gives you the ability to smooth out uneven levels, add sustain to guitars and fatten up your drums. It also makes it easy to bring vocals to the front of your mix - adding greater clarity and making them stand out from the surrounding instruments. To protect your expensive amps and speakers the PeakStop® limiter provides an absolute ceiling for peak excursions or large transients that could damage your equipment.
dbx knows compressors...after all we invented them! The 166xs is the latest in a long line of the world's most successful compressors from the inventors of the technology. Its patented Overeasy® compression technology provides smooth and musical performance while the AutoDynamic™ attack and release controls, found only on dbx compressors, puts great sound within easy reach. The 166xs can operate in stereo or dual-mono modes, has true RMS power summing and features quality XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs. It cuts no corners on visual feedback with gain reduction metering and easy-to-read backlit switches.

- With improved 192 kHz sample rate for the best sound reproduction.
- Supports uncompressed 2-channel LPCM (Linear Pulse Code Modulation) audio signals.
- Supports compressed 2-channel and multi-channel Dolby Digital and DTS audio signals.
- Ideal for presentation or distribution to another room.
- The optical (Toslink) digital audio splitter can split a single optical digital input to four outputs without delay or loss of quality.
- Supports the S/PDIF and Toslink standard.
Your TV has 1 Toslink output, but you use 4 amplifiers. This requires the Toslink cable to be split from 1 into 4. An additional amplifier could be, for example, a surround set, a sound bar of an amplifier in the kitchen

| More sound to your amps and speakers
The secret to making speakers sound great lies with the crossover you use. With the dbx® 234xs Crossover you'll get great performance, ultra low-noise, rugged reliability and four decades of dbx knowledge and expertise in building the world's finest processors. The 234xs uses precision filters to separate the audio signal and direct the correct frequencies to your loudspeaker drivers. By directing only the specific frequency bands to each speaker driver the 234xs leaves your amplifiers free to use their full power on the usable signal eliminating distortion and giving your PA system a cleaner and better sound.
The dbx 234xs is a dual channel crossover with all the features you would expect from a professional product. It features Linkwitz-Riley 24dB per octave filters, independent output gain controls for level matching, output phase inversion, 40 Hz low cut filter, and optional mono summing of the low frequency (subwoofer) output. Everything in the design exudes great precision from the solid "click" controls to the high quality XLR inputs and outputs.
