The DBX ZonePRO™ 641M offers fixed I/O, pre-configured architecture, configurable insert processing and optional duplication of audio channels to another ZonePRO device via a link bus.
The DBX Zone PRO 641M features a total of six inputs and four outputs. Inputs include four balanced mic/line switchable terminal block inputs and two mono-summed pairs of unbalanced RCA inputs. Hardware-controlled microphone gain allows adjustment of microphone gain per channel.
The 641M device has a pre-configured architecture with input processing, a central matrix and output processing. Two input insert positions and one output insert position allow channel-specific insert processing to be configured.
AutoWarmth®, a psychoacoustic function that maintains full frequency bandwidth even when the signal level has dropped, is permanently available on each output zone. A link bus allows duplication of the first six audio channels to another ZonePRO device in applications where additional output zones are required.
The DBX ZonePRO™ 641M Digital Zone Processor Main Features Include:
- 12 Inputs / 6 Outputs
- 6 Balanced Mic/Line Inputs
- 4 Unbalanced, Mono-Summed RCA Input Pairs
- S/PDIF Input

Digital audio transfer of up to 32 IN/32 OUT channels
CobraNet (TM) is fully compliant with Ethernet, and is a highly practical solution for distributing audio and control data over a common Ethernet infrastructure. The NHB32-C features four separate 8-channel AES/EBU input/output terminals and uses CobraNet (TM) technology to transfer high-quality 20-/24-bit 48kHz digital audio over four-bundle* paths - in real time.
* One bundle contains 8 channels of 20-bit audio, or 7 channels of 24-bit audio.
MIDI, head amp remote(AD824) and amplifier control
The NHB32-C is designed to handle not only digital audio, but also control data as well. With this function, the unit can be used for one of three types of control*: MIDI, head amp remote (for the AD824 A/D converter) or for monitoring/control of PC-N power amplifiers connected to the ACU16-C.
* Only one control type can be used at a time.
Up to sixty-four channels of audio - with one Ethernet cable
CobraNet handles up to eight bundles of digital audio in multicast (one-to-all) mode on a single CAT-5/100Base-TX cable.Up to eight NHB32-C units can be networked, with each unit transferring four bundles and receiving four bundles, and 64 channels of digital audio can be picked up from any ACU16-C or NHB32-C connected on the network via CobraNet. A networked system with ACU16-C and NHB32-C is able to handle up to 64 channels of digital audio with CobraNet technology. Moreover, multicast and unicast (one-to-one) mode can be used in combination to optimize bandwidth, more than 64 channels of digital audio data can be transferred on a network system.
Line duplication for good reliable system
Primary and Secondary CobraNet (TM) ports are built into the system, providing an easy-to-use duplicate network for reliable operation. If one system fails, the other takes over seamlessly, ensuring absolutely stable performance.

dbx 1261 Overview
The ZonePRO 1261 from dbx is a digital zone processor that features twelve-channels of input and six-outputs. The unit is suitable for installation in restaurants, fitness centers, nightclubs and any other situation that requires multiple-zone control of audio sources with paging features. The ZonePRO 1261 has no front panel control and requires a computer for initial set-up.
The processor provides two balanced inputs on Euroblock terminals that are selectable as line or microphone level (with phantom power) along with eight pairs of analog RCA line inputs, with each pair internally summed to mono. An RCA coaxial S/PDIF digital input is also available. Outputs are available via Euroblock terminals and can be configured as either stereo or mono. A DB-9 connector is located on the front panel for connecting to a computer.
The included Windows based control software communicates with the unit via RS-232 or Ethernet. Processor blocks can be switched in or out of a chain and include input gain, high-pass filtering, parametric EQ, compression, limiting, gating, AGC, ducking, de-essing, AFS (Advanced Feedback Suppression), notch filters, signal routing, band-pass filtering, delay and polarity. An AutoWarmth module provides gentle bass boost compensation as signal levels are lowered.
The ZonePRO 1261 really shines when utilized with optional remote wall-mount controllers that can be positioned within the various zones. The wall-mounts are able to provide local volume control or scene selection, dependent on the type of controller installed. A built-in real-time clock can provide programmable system changes throughout the day or week. All program memory is non-volatile, ensuring program security in the event of power failure or computer malfunction.
Note:
Stereo sources and stereo output can be configured using the control software, but input channels and number of zones available will be reduced correspondingly.
Twelve-channel input, six-output zone processor with no front panel control
Note:
Each pair of RCA inputs is internally summed to mono. To maintain a stereo source, two sets of inputs need to be used
Processing blocks available on both inputs and outputs
Up to six zones can receive independent audio sources, with paging priority
Note:
Number of zones available will depend on whether mono or stereo output channels are required, with zones available decreasing by two for every stereo channel
Local zone control is available utilizing the optional WC series of wall-mounted controllers
Microphone input can have AFS (Advanced Feedback Suppression) inserted with fixed or live filter response
“Autowarmth" module provides a bass-boost to low level signals
AGC (Automatic Gain Control) maintains even levels
Other dynamic DSP includes compression, limiting, noise gating and ducking
Includes band-pass and crossover filters, notch filtering and parametric EQ
Security lockout
Computer control via RS-232 and Ethernet
An analog input bus allows inputs from one unit to be sent to a another unit for application scalability
